Coffin rest?

I wondered if this might be a coffin rest in Studley Royal Deer Park in North Yorkshire. The chronology works (18th century), and it looks like it has been deliberately flattened. The geography is also plausible, being on the route to St Mary’s Church from both Studley Roger and Bishopton. A marker put down for possible further investigation.
